I attempted to use Bridgettes' techniques today whilst creating a 'new character' for my game. I really underestimated it, it was so much harder than it looked and my outcomes were completely different from what I imagined them to be. Though maybe I just need to practice with markers more.
I still think the technique is a good idea, because it really does bring the concepts to life a little bit more than just having a plain sketch on paper. Though I sometimes prefer it that way.
As for the character I created whilst emulating, I'm not sure I want to continue to develop her. I may change my mind later on, but right now I don't think I want too. My only reason being that she is a real animal, I want to keep my game away from reality as much as possible. Though at the same time, an anthropomorphic fox would really work well as a sidekick or friend.
