I finally finished annotating my sketches today. I've learnt which kind of objects are my strengths and which are my weaknesses. I think that organic is definitely my strong point where as inorganic is my weakness. I do enjoy drawing organic objects more. Looking back at my sketches I can really tell just by looking at them which I enjoyed and which I didn't enjoy. Both the weeds and the pumpkin were definitely my favorites out of all ten sketches.
I think in the future I should possibly try different sketching techniques, though using the cross hatching was still new to me, but an old technique I remember from art class in secondary school. I actually used to use a pen for that, I have never used a pencil for this style of sketching before.
I will make sure I try to draw a good sheet or two of concept organic objects for my game idea, considering that it is based around nature anyway. I'm quite glad that I was able to pick out my strengths and weaknesses. Now I know that I need to try draw more inorganic objects and another weakness of mine, humans.
